Blue Line Talent is looking for a Project Leader of Boiler projects
with strength in Mechanical Engineering projects in the power plant
industry for a direct hire opportunity in the Charlotte, NC area.

Position: Project Lead - Boiler projects, Mechanical Engineering

Work Location: Charlotte, NC

The Client: A global supplier of sustainable technology and services
for mining, construction, power generation, automation, recycling and
the pulp and paper industries.
• Employs ~30,000 around the globe.

Job Description:
• Leading projects in mechanical engineering activities including
achieving high quality engineering solutions and designs in a timely
and cost effective manner.
• On time and on budget performance for mechanical engineering and
design activities
• Scheduling and resource planning
• Assess and ensure training and development of mechanical engineers
and designers
• Monitor performance of mechanical engineers and designers
• Perform site visits during design phase
• Interface with the customer on mechanical engineering and design
issues
• Ensure compliance and conformance with regulations and customer
requirements
• Issue Technical Specifications for purchased items
• Review in-house and supplier drawing for accuracy and compliance
• Provide engineering/erection support
• Further develop project objectives into team and individual goals to
provide clear direction and priorities
• Continuous improvement of engineering tools, procedures, and
guidelines
• Assist Project Managers with project plans

Experience Profile:
• BS in Mechanical Engineering (AS degree considered) and 5+ years
applicable experience
• 5+ years of experience with boilers
• Experience in power generation industry
• Experience in project execution and planning
• Proficient in MS Office
• Stable record of direct employment

Helpful/Preferred:
• Project design experience
• Knowledge of ProArc or other document handling software
• Experience with PDMS or similar
