Good morning

I want to thank all the merchants for there time and effort in support of the "April Shower of Savings". While the posting of the flyers did get off to a slow start, I was delighted to see how many flyers were in the windows and doors as I walked around the Downtown in the past couple of weeks.

I am hoping this culmination of the selectman, Maynard business owners and other organizations, be just the beginning of an extra effort in support of keeping business local. The greater picture is it will benefit all of us via the gathering, shopping, eating and enjoying all that we have to offer here in Maynard. Our townspeople and visitors can come together to enjoy all that we have to offer in our quaint town.

If you would like to give some feedback of how this event went for you or what we could do to build on it, please email me directly.

Thanks and have a great day!
Wil Ricci

Hi Wil,

Thanks for taking the time to work on this!
For me, the program was not very effective: I cannot recall one person coming in and stating they were shopping because they saw the ad/flyer. Additionally, I ran concurrently a 10-year Anniversary ad in Action Unlimited offering a discount coupon. Zero.
What I think is we plan a little meeting and re-focus. IMHO,all the different businesses and all the different people want to be 'On Top" This is why these campaigns fail. It's NOT about the individual businesses, rather, it is about DOWNTOWN and we should promote DOWNTOWN, not the individual businesses.

AS I see it, someone needs to take the bull by the horns and work to get ALL the business to work as ONE to put Downtown on the map.

Stop in on your way by and we'll chat!
