reminder: Saturday Nov 14 Maynard Townwide Cleanup

Hi,
This Saturday is Maynard's annual fall townwide cleanup, Clean Sweep
2009. If everyone participates it makes a huge impact on the
cleanliness of our town. As a merchant, please make sure the area
around your business is litter-free Saturday morning. Details are
below. Thanks in advance for your help in making Maynard a clean,
attractive shopping and dining destination. The Maynard Litter League

BEFORE 9 a.m. @ your business
Please walk the area near your store and pick up any litter you see.
Be sure to check gutters and storm drains, and the front and back of
the building. This should take you less than 5 minutes. If you are a
Monday-Friday business or open later in
the day on Saturday please do your Sweep at end of business on
Friday.


Residents will be downtown Saturday morning…
10 am - island at Nason & Main
Residents and community groups are invited to join members of the
Maynard Litter League as they lead a ‘sweep’ through downtown to pick
up any litter that remains in the area. Bags and gloves provided.

From 9 -a.m. - noon, residents can sign-up and get bags & gloves to
clean
other locations around town


Clean Sweep 2009 is organized by the Maynard Litter League. The
League, Maynard’s year-round anti-litter organization is working
towards the goal of a litter-free Maynard by engaging all members of
the community in litter prevention, cleanup, and education efforts.
