Light up Memorial Park

 

The Holiday lights in Memorial Park need replacing.  The large evergreen tree has been trimmed and is ready for lights. 

 

The Assabet Valley Chamber of Commerce has raised over $1,000 to donate to the Town of Maynard for lights.  This amount will buy “twinkle” lights including shipping and handling. However, these lights do not have a long life and we would like to see a better grade of lights with a longer life span on this magnificent tree.

 

Gramps’ Garage and Morey’s Tavern have joined together for a fundraiser for this project.

 

Sunday afternoon, September 20^th,  from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm we will have a  fundraiser at Morey’s.   We will have many raffles, including a 50/50 All prizes will be drawn that afternoon at Morey’s.  Please take this opportunity to join in the festivities and see if we as a community can raise enough money to upgrade the lights.

 

The raffle prizes can be seen20at Gramps’  Garage and raffle tickets will be sold prior to the event.  Chances for the 50/50 will not be sold until Sunday, the 20^th.  We are also hoping that individuals and business will make a donation to this fund and light up our park in grand style for the holidays.
