MaxEnt won't show files on Macbook

Hi all,

This is a problem some of my students are having -- apparently a known (and recent) problem but we have not found a solution posted -- see

When using the MaxEnt tutorial, when they try to add my species and environmental layer data none of the files or folders appear in the browse window.

I have a feeling this is a Mac/security/permissions thing... (it actually works on my Mac). If anyone has discovered a solution please let me know!

Janet,

Very strange. It is likely, as you say, a Java -> Mac OS permission issue. Maybe this can help?

I think maxent.jar might use a similar Java tool for choosing files.
