Variable with lambda=0 has non-zero contribution. How?

Looking into the lambdas file I see that several of my environmental variables have a lambda value of 0.0 yet their "Percent contribution" as reported in the html report are non-zero, in fact some are apparently significant.
Can someone please explain how this works?
