Hi Everyone,

Does anyone have some suggestion on how i can fix the pictures produced by Maxent, i mean the plots and the jacknife plots.

I would like to use different colour coding from what maxent generally produces and enhance the sizes of the texts. It is difficult to modify these pictures as they are produced in PNG format, which doesn't allow anything to be touched. I'd be very grateful, if someone can suggest me some solution.

Cheers,

Navi

I usually just import the MaxEnt output file (.grd or .ascii) into a program like ArcGIS or a free one like DIVA-GIS and then you can do whatever you would like to it; color-coding, overlaying other maps,etc...

Hope that helps,

Marnin

Hi Marnin,
I am actually talking about the ROC curves. Sorry if my message was not clear.
Thanks,

I usually re-create the ROC plots in excell.  Maxent produces all the data needed to recreate these graphs, with just the default settings.

Hi,

To produce the ROC curves within R, the "A Brief Tutorial in Maxent" has some code you can use which indicates which files from the outputs (i.e. .csv) you need and all.

To produce the Jacknife curve in R as a simple table or bargraph, I believe (but could use some confirmation ) that the "maxentResults.csv file has columns like "Training gain without variable1",  "Training gain with onlye variable1" that have single values that seem to match the html's Jacknife plot.
