Why maxent run always fail under dismo package for Biomod2 in R. I tried so many ways, while other models runs perfectly fine but maxent don't run. And I have noticed something called MaxNEt, under Biomod2. Does it work same as Maxent? And also if anyone have running code for biomod2 please let me know.

Hi Dr. Amir

I guess there is something wrong regarding how you specify the path where Biomod2 is supposed to call and find Maxent in. Another propability is that probably you don’t have the java runtime library installed. Just a thought.

Hello sir
I have installed dismo package which has maxent within java folder.
And for the work I set the directory to desktop, both these are in same C drive.
I have checked many times but maxent won't run so I have to use MaxNet alternative to Maxent in Biomod2 which don't need java.
But I still wonder why Maxent won't run. May be due to not converting of GeoTif to ASCii but for that terra package is helpful. Please help.

Hi,

Can you provide any error messages that are output?  Please be sure to copy the complete message not just a portion of it. As well as the error message, can you provide a copy of the output form the command `sessionInfo()`.  Without this basic information it is difficult for the rest of us to know how to help you.

Best wishes,
Ben
