On the International Day of Caves and Karst, a change.org petition to try to influence the Cantabrian government and stop the building of wind turbines and batteries on karst around Matienzo.

Another battery facility is proposed for Fuente las Varas - "BESS Cantabria 1". This will add to the industrialisation of a rural pass and view point on karst. The documents for the proposal are again deficient and ignore entirely the 80km-long Four Valleys System which lies beneath. An alegación denouncing the proposal was registered this evening - thanks to Helen Unger Clark.
