Hello,
During Week 1, you posted questions and started several important discussions. We also used forums of two types (P2PU and Ask Natural Math). I am moving general announcements and some of the course's tasks to this group.
The first live meeting was on Monday, with three participants. I added the following to the summary of the course:

I am starting two separate discussion topics for this week. You can simply hit "reply" under the topic's email to respond. You can attach pictures from your hard drive to these emails if you want to show what you are up to with kids. You can also copy a picture from the internet and paste it into the body of your email. Feel free to start new discussion topics, as well.

Week 1 January 31st, 2011. Three participants. Topics:
- Is it OK to count on fingers?
- More advanced finger counting systems.
- "Pet names" for math objects, roleplay.
- Music and mathematics
