Dear Colleague,
This is the second announcement of the workshop
Mathematical aspects in non equilibrium systems: from micro to macro
which will take place in Erice, at the Center for Scientific Culture Ettore Majorana, from October 30th to November 4th 2024.
The workshop is multidisciplinary and is meant to gather together experts in various aspects of Non-equilibrium Thermodynamics and Quantum Physics, with a particular focus on some mathematical aspects for micro and for macroscopic systems. Among others, the following topics will be covered:
Complex systems - Irreversible Thermodynamics - Systems out of equilibrium
Quantum transport - Quantum technologies – Quantum ideas in applied sciences
Decision making - Mathematical aspects of non-Hermitian Quantum Mechanics
The official website of the workshop is
and the registration will be open until October 1st 2024. The deadline for sending a title and an abstract is also October 1st 2024.
There will be no registration fee. However, the participants are required to pay 150 euros each day of their stay in Erice. This money will cover accommodation and lunches, the transfer of groups from the airport (Trapani or Palermo, the one which is more convenient to you) to Erice and back. It will also cover the social dinner and a touristic trip (still to be organized), except, if needed, the cost of the tickets of museums/areas of interest. Please consider that the Centro Majorana will also take care of the accommodation of the participants and accompanying people by using its own structures.
