Hi Everyone,
Well, I'm finished with the photos I took yesterday in Lenox and
Chesterfield. That should give everyone a rainy day activity.
As usual, I took far too many pictures, of which this is a tiny
subset. You decide which ones you like best.
Lenox
The featured attraction here is the mustard white. Not too much mating
activity, so the only sexed specimens were the females in "rejecting courtship"
posture.
There were two "bonuses" in Lenox:
silvery blue [early bird!}
yellow warbler male [not so early bird]
Chesterfield
This is West Virginia white country. There was more courting activity here,
making it more possible to ascertain sex. [This doesn't mean I got it right.
Corrections welcome.]
The only "bonus" in Chesterfield was a single cabbage white which
snuck in just to remind me one must be vigilant:
Sorry, no photos of the black flies.
And so, on to my backlog. Stay tuned.
Cheers,
Frank
