Tiger Swt Canadian 2 FOY eclosures from my overwintered butterfly stash. These were both found in 2021 as tiny, out-of-egg, 1 st instar cats several leaves apart on the same small Prunus serotina plant and at the same time. So, chances are very good that both these butterflies were siblings. Eclosures of both were just an hour apart, and both cooperated nicely with a bit of gentle handling to get a few good pics of each. Now, getting out Cech and Tudor description for field mark differences between Eastern and Canadian seemed to show to me that both butterflies are Canadian!! These differences include dorsal wide black border close to the body, and ventral thicker FW yellow submarginal band largely continuous. OPINIONS WELCOME.
