Finally, my yard is hopping, buzzing, and flying.
In just a few minutes before work today, I was able to see:
1 Eastern Tiger Swallowtail
2 Great Spangled Fritillaries
1 Silver Spotted Skipper
2 skippers of the same species, but I'm debating the ID. I'm thinking Northern Broken-Dash, but I've also considered Crossline and Dun and Little Glassywing and . . . ? I'm attaching 2 photos of the same individual. The first photo is clear, but the light makes the butterfly appear darker than it really was. The other photo is blurrier (enlarge the center of the photo to see the b'fly on a leaf) but the light better shows the greenish body and lighter top edge of the wings. Thanks for your help!
