October Derby

Is anyone running the October Derby this year? I see a lot of good October butterflies being posted.

Howdy All,

  Nothing new to report as far as adult butterflies for the Derby.

  But we do have several Giant Swallowtail caterpillars feeding on Prickly Ash. 

    Seems to be their favorite host plant, at least in our garden.

  Not sure if they'll make it to chrysalis stage, but if they do we'll overwinter them in our mudroom, as we have done in the past.
