Part 2 of 3 walks focused on phenology in Myles Standish State Forest.

The walk will begin at 10 AM.

Attendance of other parts is not required. Come learn about the ecology of the forest as it transitions into late spring. Walk through the fields in search of hairstreaks, eastern-tailed blues, pearl crescents, and other late spring species.

We will be heading to the Bently Loop this time. Directions to this can be found by entering Myles Standish Upper College Pond Parking (Parking Lot 2)" into Google Maps. WiFi is spotty in this part of the forest. You can download the maps ahead of time into your phone and use that to navigate.

So far, the weather looks good for this trip. I was hoping milkweed would start blooming by now when I planned this, but everything has been a little slower than normal.

This walk is designed to be slow-paced and friendly to all levels of butterfly watching. Beginners welcome. Contact Blake Dinius, BDi...@PlymouthCountyMA.gov or 774-773-3404.
