Hello All,

And Happy New Year!  I’m hoping everyone’s having a good holiday season and surviving the storms and the cold.

Maybe thinking about summertime butterflies will help!  While you’re putting 2025 to bed, please think about sending some 2025 photos, or even an article, for submission for the Spring 2026 issue of the club’s Massachusetts Butterflies journal.  Any photos of butterflies and/or butterfliers would be great, and much appreciated by me and all of the readers.

Please send your photos as jpg attachments to an email, if possible, and as large a size as possible (smaller/fewer kb photos tend to look grainy when printed).  Please include the location and date for the photo as well – town is sufficient, or even county for sensitive species.  Please send to:

Also, as you know, we lost another long-time member and great friend to butterflies in 2025, our former treasurer Elise Barry.  I would also like to put out a special request for memories, and photos, of Elise to include in the spring issue of the journal.  Elise was a dear friend to many, and she is greatly missed.
