Arlington Woburn and Carlisle 2025-07-12

An interesting mix today as we stayed close to home. In Arlington, Lisa and I saw:

1 (m) Monarch stayed on one of our "Monarch Magic" Ageratum plants for 3+ hours

1 Northern Broken Dash

1 Duskywing (sp)

3 Cabbage White

I went to Horn Pond Mountain in Woburn around midday, and saw:

2 Edward's Hairstreak

1 Summer Azure (ovipositing)

2 Eastern Tailed-blue

1 American Lady

5 Northern Broken Dash

4 Wild Indigo Duskywing

3 American Copper

2 Red Admiral

1 Clouded Sulphur

3 Cabbage White

While Lisa was visiting her sick friend in Carlisle later in the afternoon (about 5:00 pm), I walked around the property and saw:

4 Northern Broken Dash

1 Silver Spotted Skipper

Afterward, as I was sitting in the kitchen,

1 Appalachian Brown 

The very fresh-looking Brown repeatedly attempted to fly into the (closed) window and then perched on the sill outside for about 10 minutes.
