Butterflies 9/24 in Barre

On one of those wonderful sunny days prior to the nor'easter, on September 24, we had the following butterflies at Riis Hill (DCR Watershed) in Barre:

2 Cabbage White

6 Clouded Sulphur

1 American Copper

2 Eastern Tailed-Blue

1 Great Spangled Fritillary

1 Pearl Crescent

1 Common Wood-Nymph, very worn

At the nearby Barre "heath," also DCR Watershed property, there were a few Clouded Sulphur, 2 Pearl Crescent, and one Viceroy.
