I walked the 2 mile loop at Martin Burns today. Mostly sunny 79-81 degrees. We have been having a drought locally and conditions were very dry. However there was still plenty of blooming Goldenrod, Purple Loosestrife, Wild Carrot and occasional patches of Joe Pye Weed and Dogbane. This weekend has traditionally been a good time for me to check for butterflies at Martin Burns but they were scarce today.
