1 monarch in Westborough yard

Saw a monarch quickly sampling the remains of our buddleia before fluttering off.  It did not stay still long enough to sex it, but it sure wasn’t oviposting on the nearby milkweeds, some of which were still small.

It did not seem interested in the numerous goldenrods in the same area.

 

9/12, 9:30am, calm and sunny - about 69 degrees.
