I'm sad to report the passing of Elise Barry on Friday.
Elise loved family, friends, plants, butterflies, the natural world and
what moved through it, and of course, chocolate and ice cream. Both her
enthusiasm and laugh were contagious. Her thoughtfulness and kindness
were recognized by those of us lucky enough to have her as a friend.
Elise served for many years as a vice president and then as treasurer of
the Massachusetts Butterfly Club. Her thoroughness and thoughtfulness
during her service is appreciated by all of us.
Her spirit is remembered with joy and loss as we mourn her passing.
We offer condolences to her husband Karl, her family, and friends.
