I did a little google search and found the names "Martin Foss' and
"Lukas Foss' together in some archives, so I think this son's name
might be spelled "Lukas." If so, he has a wikipedia entry:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lukas_Foss

I read through this entry, and did not find any info on his father or
mother listed. The son's wife may still be alive, and his son has two
children. I'm thinking that if Lukas is indeed his son, that perhaps
we could contact one of his surviving family members to get more
specific information on Martin. Sound like a good plan? Take a look at
Lukas's information, and let me know what you think.

In the meantime, I'll read through the Wikipedia instructions....

I am sure Lukas was his son. He mentioned in his letter that he had a
son who was a musician. I cannot remember but I know that in speaking
with a friend of mine we had concluded that the composer Lukas was his
son.
