I'd be happy to try to post this information on Wikipedia. Do you know
whether Martin Foss was Jewish? That would be an interesting piece of
info. Also do you know anything about his family--whether he was
married or not? Finally, is it possible for you to write up something
of his philosophy? (I'd be happy to help you with that, if you'd like
an editor. I've only read his book Symbol and Metaphor, which I know
is a profound book, but don't feel I've fully "grocked" it yet!)

By the way, I'm very interested in your ideas about art... and would
love to see you post them here as you find the time. Although my PhD
is in adult learning, art theory has been my inspiration. The creative
process and learning are very intertwined, as well as being so
integral to life itself (as Foss illustrates so beautifully.)

Years ago I received three short letters from M. Foss. Much of the
discussion was about my sculpture since I had sent him some color
slides. However, I did learn that his wife who was a painter had died
14 years earlier, and he had two sons. The oldest was a painter, and
the youngest was a musician who died a few years ago. His name was
Lucas Foss and was known as a composer.
