I have tried virtually every PIM from Claris Organiser to NUTDC to
Personal Organiser and SOHO but finding AB/iCal well, a bit basic. I
tried Daylite v1 but whilst I liked the ability to link virtually
anything and the Sales orientation I did not like what it did to my
Palm records.
Here's my problem.
I think in terms of Account/Organisation names first, then the
owner/managers name second. In many cases, I may be dealing with one
organisation but have up to 10 different people within the same
organisation to deal with. Daylite is great for this but when I sync
with my Palm I get either hundreds of names with full address details
but with no company name or a either a name or organisation without any
contact details at all. I also seem to be having trouble with telephone
numbers swapping from phone to fax.
I also and this may be the problem sync my Palm to AB/iCal as well as
Daylite, however as a rule I do not alter any detail in these
programmes. I do this for mainly 2 reasons. The first is that I still
use FaxSTF a lot to send a recieve faxes, this uses AB for all fax
numbers. The second is that I think on paper and plan on paper. iCal
has a pretty nifty print out of calenders which is excellent to look at
three or four months simultanously.
Is there anyway in order to tidy up the sync between my Palm and
Daylite and how best is it to integrate AB/ical - sync with the Palm or
Sync AB and export to iCal from Daylite only.
Does anyone have a good work around/solution?
