All day "events" do not show busy on calendars

When you add an all day event to your calendar, and then hit the
"schedule" button on the bottom right, it shows that you are free that
day instead of already booked for an all day event. Anyone know a way
to get it to show that you're out?

For multi-day events, such as vacations, it's much easier and more
practical to call it an "event" than a meeting or appointment, etc.
