Daniel Mann and Susannah Womack

learning more about the Mann family and hearing from more of my
'family'.
My ancestor was Daniel Mann b1814. He lived in Apex, NC, Wake Co and
was married to Susannah Womack b1814. There is a Mann family cemetary
in Apex on what used to be the Mann homesite. The house that Daniel
lived in is still there but has some fire damage and is being used for
storage.
Daniel's children were: sons--Silas Quentin 1838-1908 married Amelia
Lela Robards, Caswell Simeon 1842-1914 married Mary Rogers , William
Saunders 1839-1923 married Elizabeth (Bettie) Bell(my descendants),
Jasper Joseph 1849-1914 married Rosa ?, Adolphus T 1854-1923 married
Vera Prince,
daughters--Ara Ann b1848 married Adolphus C. Mills, Adeline Mary b1836
married Henry Rhodes, Arain died as a child I believe. I don't believe
any of the girls had children. All of the sons had daughters except
for my line and they left Apex. My great grandfather moved to Oxford,
NC and his brother James Herman moved to Raleigh.
Daniel was the first postmaster in Apex. He did not leave a will but I
have copies of his estate papers. Also, I cannot find a marriage
certificate or bond. There is no headstone for him in the cemetary but
I believe he is probably there. All of his sons, except William who is
at Oakwood in Raleigh, are buried there.
Clayton and I think that Daniel is possibly the Daniel that is the son
of Stephen and Penny Mann but we have been unable to successfully prove
this.
I have a typed letter that was supposed to have been written by my
great grandfather that states that Daniel's father was born in Va and
his name was Stephen Mann and he was married to Martha Womack. (I
believe he could have confused Martha Womack with Susannah Womack,
Daniel's wife which would have been his grandmother.) Other than this,
I have no leads on Daniel's parents. The death certificate of his sons,
state that Daniel was born in Virginia.
