Hello! I have been the Data Manager for my district for about two days now and I am already running into some issues haha. Working on the CRDC but it doesn't seem like we have a unified way of ending an enrollment for a student to be "Transferred to and Alternative school" I don't see and end code for it and (so far) it has been mostly been marked as a comment when their enrollment ends that this is happening. Does anyone know of a better way/have any thoughts? I would really appreciate it!

Hi,

We have students attending separate schools which is one of the choices for SpEd Settings but for those we have to
keep the primary and the other school creates a concurrent. If 'alternative' is a true choice for placement I know nothing!

Are you working on the Behavior data in the CRDC? If so, your district might (should) have this as a resolution to behavior incidents with this code as a resolution type.

So the way we have been doing it is ending their enrollment as Eligible to return, someone notes in their enrollment where they are heading since all alternative schools around us are out of district as well as out of state and that's where it ends. I am not sure why we are doing it that way but given there is no "transfer to alternative school" end status I am hoping to find something I would be able to pull in an adhoc for the CRDC. Some of these transfers are behavioral but some are based around IEP needs (hearing/vision issues for instance)

If they are in state and what us old timers once called a "MEDMS Reporting School" then they
report their own attendance.

Maybe a true alternative school carries their own Primary enrollment?  We have students attending
Sweetser and a couple of others in Maine, and the process I described earlier works for us and for DOE.

Our students attending Non-Maine schools have their enrollments created by the HelpDesk.  That way
they all show up correctly on our out of district report.
