Report Card Translations

I was wondering how other districts are translating report cards into different language?   Has anyone tried to do it with Multi-Language Editor?

Hi,

We're using the multi-language editor for report cards that come out of Infinite Campus  The initial setup takes time but its been pretty smooth after that.  We ended up setting up set of standard canned comments that have predone translations and then use a translation service for any canned comments that aren't canned.

One caveat about canned comments translation is that you can't put in multiple canned comments and have it translate unless you do it via SQL.  It only matches exactly what is in for the canned comment, so if they stick in two canned comments that's a new string and it won't translate each part.

I'm happy to give you more details about our setup and experience if you'd like.
