Dear Friends,

Take a minute to think...who are the heroes in your life? For me, it’s easy. It’s my father, Lou. Through good times and bad, he’s always been there. A marathon finisher and heart attack survivor, he is an inspiration for everything that I do. Without him in my life, things would be much different.

In 2006, I finished IronMan Wisconsin with him as my inspiration. This year as part of Team 242 and the 2009 David Browne Mississippi River Ride, I’m riding 500 miles in 7 days in his honor to raise awareness for heart disease and money for the American Heart Association. Without groups like AHA and their work with Heart Disease, my father might not be with us today.
