I am using MacFusion2 Beta 3 on Leopard 10.5.2. I'm getting the
following error when attempting to mount an ssh file system:

Could not mount filesystem: Mount path directory in use.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
JR

It turns out that I had a directory (i.e., foo) for the drive I was
trying to mount in the /Volumes directory. After removing /Volumes/
foo, the problem was resolved.

I am actually having the same problem, and was wondering about your
solution. I am on a macbook pro 10.5.2 with MacFusion2 beta 3, when i
try to mount my FTP website to my desktop it gives me the

Could not mount filesystem: Mount path directory in use

Any help would be appreciated.

This means it can't create the mount path directory. It should be in /
Volumes/.
In finder, go to /Volumes/ (using apple-shift-g) and check for a
folder matching the volume name or server name.
If it exists, delete it. It should mount now. If not, also try
changing the "Mount Path" under the advanced tab.
Using something like "/Volumes/myHost" (without the quotes).
