Inconsistent Finder Behavior

I just moved from a G4 PB with 10.4.11 to a MBP 10.5.2 and am seeing
something inconsistent between the Finder interactions with encFS
mounts.

The problem is that mounts on the Leopard install aren't being shown
in the Finder sidebar under the "Shared" position where connected
servers are identified. The mount is reflected as a connected server
on the desktop. Finder preferences has a tick for Connected Servers
under the "General" tab that allows the serves to be shown on the
desktop and a tick for Connected Servers under the "Sidebar." Yet,
they are not consistent.

Sidebar and Desktop icons for the connected server are shown as
expected on the Tiger machine.

Tiger Configuration
MacFuse - 10.4-1.1.0
MacFusion - 1.2B3
EncFS - 10.4-2.0.0
EncFS.Fusion - 0.4.5

I should note that the Tiger option for connected servers on the
sidebar has a "-" instead of a full check mark. I'm clearly not
showing all the connected servers, but I'm not sure how I got a
partial selection. And this might be red herring, because the encFS
mount is being shown as desired and expected.

Leopard Configuration
MacFuse - 10.5-1.5.1
MacFusion - 1.2B3
EncFS - 10.5-2.0.0
EncFS.Fusion - 0.4.5

I'm not sure if this is a Finder or MacFuse 10.5-1.5.1 issue. Anyone
have some insight that might help me understand the inconsistency?

I made the same move a few weeks ago, and your list of applications/
version-numbers would have been useful!

I have gotten used to looking for my MacFuse volumes in the Finder
window, listed under my machine name in 'DEVICES'.

It suits me that they are a bit harder to reach. I am reminded that
they are encrypted and/or not local.
