Hi there,

I'm keen to connect to my server using SSH rather than standard FTP,
but constantly get permissions issues. If I try and move or copy a
file from one folder to another on the server I get the error "The
operation cannot be completed because you do not have sufficient write
privileges", but if I use SFTP from the command line I can use GET and
PUT to move the same files around without any issues. My SSH user is
in the same group as the owner of the files on the server.

Any help appreciated - I'm a bit stuck here!

Is that error reported by Finder?

I was getting a similar error report when I tried to move files to a
remote server. To resolve the problem, I uncheck the option to ignore
Apple Double files. Now it works great, but it slows down macfusion
just a little bit.

In most cases, it's preferable to do as GoPool has done.

Don't ignore things unless there's a very good reason to do so.
