FWIW the six subjects that I'd most like to document -- in the
context of MacFusion -- are:
1) sleep/wake
2) network disruption
3) .DS_store files
4) ._ dot underscore files
5) Finder in Mac OS X 10.4
6) CurlFtpFS
If you have any preferences beyond those six subjects: please add
your comments to
<http://code.google.com/p/macfusion/issues/detail?id=64> or join
today's discussion <irc://irc.freenode.net/#macfusion>.

Briefly:
(1) and (2) often occur in combination and as already suggested, we
shouldn't expect SSHFS to be a replacement for AFP.
(3), (4) and (5) are widely misunderstood. Where .DS_store and ._ are
found there are typically excellent reasons for their presence.
Apple Finder (5) is too often blamed for completely unrelated issues.
Probably blamed, because it is so much a foreground application; an
error reported by Finder, or a ._ file created whilst using Finder,
are misunderstood to be bugs with Finder when in fact: Finder is
simply doing its job.
CurlFtpFS (6) and other FTP clients may be limited in their
usefulness if the FTP server is lacklustre. See for example
<http://code.google.com/p/macfusion/issues/detail?id=177#c26> (Dvico
TViX M4000 Media server FTP is reportedly "very unstable"). On the
plus side: Robson Braga Araujo, CurlFtpFS developer is present
amongst us, so thanks to group efforts there is good progress on
various issues.
