F2FC: Fight to Finish Cancer
5K Family Fun Walk/Run
Dear F2FC Walkers and Runners,
Our 1st Annual Road Race is coming up this Sunday, May 6th starting at 10:00 a.m. at the Lobster Tail in Windham, NH. We are so excited for this event and hope you are too! Together we are getting fit and fighting for a cure for cancer!
If you have friends or family members that would like to join you, it is not too late to register. You may start registering at 9:00 a.m. in front of the Lobster Tail! Send an email or post this event on your Facebook page, every racer is a step closer to a cure!
Parking is tricky and you will need to park at Windham Center School, which is just a ½ mile walk from the starting line! Windham Center School is located just off from rte. 111 at 2 Lowell Road Windham, NH. There will be parking attendants with orange vests and signs! They will lead you in the right direction to the Lobster Tail.
We will have an on-site raffle with all proceeds going to the American Cancer Society. Tickets are $5 each or 3 for $10. We have many great prizes. For a detailed list, please go to our race site: sites.google.com/site/F2FCrace and look under registration and raffle.
We will also have luminary bags on site that can be purchased for $10 each. A luminary bag is a great way to honor a loved one who has died of cancer, fighting cancer or a cancer survivor. If you don’t have time to decorate a bag, pay your $10 fee, complete the form and we will do it for you. The luminary bags will light up the track the night of our walk. We will display all bags sold by our team in front of our campsite!
We will also have Magnets for Miracles. They are 3 magnets for $5. Do you love your re-useable grocery bags? We have just a few left to sell! Charitable Charms are a great addition to your bracelet or necklace and will be available for $5 each!
Don’t forget to pick up your bag with your F2FC Rally Towel, F2FC tattoo, free beer or soda coupon, and information about upcoming events! You can redeem your free beer or soda at the Lobster Tail following the race. One coupon per person! The Lobster Tail is also offering a 10% discount on your entire bill including food and beverage following the race for all racers!
There will be cones set up to guide you through the route. There will be traffic, so be safe and stay within the cones. We will have road patrol in orange vests set up in three locations. There will also be a water table set up courtesy of Lithia Skin Care of Windham, NH at about the 1.5-mile mark.
Water, granola bars and bananas will also be available at the end of the race! A huge thank you to B.J.’s Wholesale & The Donabedian Brothers of Salem for their generous donations!
