Hello:

 

Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries is currently recruiting runners for its 2012 Marathon Team.  We are hoping that the Merrimack Valley Striders might have some members who would be willing to run for our team to raise funds for some great youth programs that serve underprivileged youth in the City of Boston.

 

Goodwill’s Running for Great Kids Team supports 600+ youth from underserved communities who participate in our After School Academy for Girls and Fresh Air Camp.

 

This year’s participants must commit to raising a minimum of $3,500 and will have access to several benefits, including:

 

•           An official B.A.A. ® Boston Marathon number

•           A fundraising toolkit, including sample letters and fundraising ideas

•           Team practice runs and coaching

•           Partnership/mentorship opportunity with one of the children served by Goodwill

 

If you or anyone in your running club are interested in being considered for a number, or have a friend or co-worker interested in running, please submit the attached application to Erin Flaherty, Coordinator of Events and Special Projects at:
