Checkmates and Home Plates Tournament 9/10

[Alyssa Morita]

Happy Labor Day MV Chess Club!

A special congratulations to Dave for winning first place in last week's showdown—impeccable play, as always!

For this week's online unrated tournament, I thought we could make it a little more interesting. My family and I have some Angels baseball tickets we can't use for the 9/14 and 9/20 games in the 100s section, so if you make it to the leaderboard, we will send you a set of tickets. Only if you want them, of course, (we realize not everyone has the fortitude to be an Angels fan).😉

Here are the details for this week's Checkmates and Home Plates Tournament:

What: Online unrated blitz (5-0) tournament

When: Thursday, 9/10, 6-7pm

Where: Checkmates and Home Plates Tournament Link. Registration begins one hour before the tournament.

Batter up and checkmate!
