Hello Former Task Force Members,

I wanted to take a moment as the year winds down to extend my sincere thanks to each of you for your hard work and support throughout the year.

We had our first meeting on Feb. 21st, and when I consider what the Task Force accomplished this year I’m very appreciative of everyone’s contributions, particularly given that each of you was a volunteer on top of your “day job.” That demonstrates real commitment.

I am excited about how quickly the CESC is moving, and am looking forward to seeing their ultimate recommendations to the full Council.

Please note that the 17 recommendations the CESC is focusing on initially is just that; the initial focus. Rest assured that the remaining recommendations are not being jettisoned; they will be prioritized and handled as quickly as possible at the appropriate time in the future.

I look forward to working with the Green Citizens Action Team (or whatever it names itself) in 2009, increasing our momentum and moving into an implementation and outreach phase. As a reminder, the kick-off meeting is 1/14 at 6:30pm in the City Hall Plaza conference room.

May you enjoy a safe and happy holiday season.

Warm regards,

Steve
