EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in training or teaching. Classroom or on-line training experience preferable. See below for other required skills.
Qualified applicants will be contacted to attend an interview session at Trident Technical College on Saturday, December 3. These applicants will have 15 minutes to present an instructional tutorial to a panel of interviewers. The presentation should demonstrate knowledge of technology and presentation skills. A PC and projector will be available. The interview panel will then rate the applicant using a pre-defined score card. At the end of the process, the top 70 applicants will be offered positions.
Selected trainers will attend 5 weeks of full-time training from January 16th 2012 to February 17th 2012, then sign up to teach physicians and clinical staff to use the new electronic medical record system when it goes live in the spring.
This is an opportunity for applicants to become an Epic certified trainer for one of the most advanced EMR systems in the country.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
As part of the MUSC wide EPIC implementation, you will be part of a team delivering training to physicians, clinical and non-clinical staff. You will receive Epic training that consists of a five week training course to become credentialed in order to become an expert on Epic tools and processes. Once credentialed, you will provide end-user training to staff in Epic applications using established course content. Your training knowledge will be used as a resource to staff to ensure a smooth go live and continued skill development. You will conduct training classes and identify potential training gaps to communicate with the Epic team to resolve them. This is a temporary position with a commitment of six months to work full time alongside other operational and IS professionals. Rate of pay is $20.00/hour. Schedule: Monday
– Friday; some weekends. Hours: Initial five week training course 8am-5pm; Variable thereafter depending on training classes.OTHER QUALIFICATIONS OF APPLICANTS:
Must successfully complete Epic credentialed training program. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office. Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technology and applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have reliable transportation to provide training to various sites.
