This might be interesting as a secondary player unit to a Myth backend for movies and possibly recordings. Especially if it can be rooted. I have a Xtreamer Pro for playing the kid's shows--works well, but prefer to use a Popcorn Hour c200 for real configurability of the Movie Jukebox feature.

"The Xtreamer Ultra, is mainly aimed for the setting of a completely new standard of the Linux, XBMC and Boxee communities and the industry of media streamers as we know of it today"

Looks like it's going to retail for about $280.

Humm, I didn't scroll far enough down on that page....it seems it's an open HTPC with USB boot, and given it's got an internal HDD, and they have the MythTV logo down on the page-- could be a nice Myth front end. I like the form factor and fan-less design. Heck it even runs Windoze 7 for the masochists out there.

Just wait till somebody comes out with an AMD Fusion E-350 (18W TDP for CPU & integrated Radeon HD 6310 graphics). It will be a serious "Atom Smasher!" Mini ITX boards & netbooks are already out, HTPC boxes can't be far behind. This bad boy was born and bred for HTPC applications (& Car PCs). Oh, and it'll be cheaper than an Atom system unless Intel drops their prices to compete.
