To One and All:

Well, it's time to crank up this engine and get it going again . . . hope all you all have enjoyed 7s on NBC and other streaming websites . . . there's also been 15s, 6 Nations, on BBC America for free, which started on the 5th of February, and goes through the 19th of March.  DirecTV is also showing 'Super Rugby' (Super 15), which started on the 18th of February and runs through the 18th of June . . . DirecTV is also showing the five 'Tri Nations' matches starting on the 30th of July and running through the 27th of August.  For the complete DirecTV schedule go to this link, http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/content/sports/rugby?footernavtype=-1.  Universal TV is a streaming site that I got all of the iRB World Sevens Series Tournaments for $20.00 . . . that's all 8 Tournaments with the next 4 starting in Hong Kong on the 27th of March . . . they also have a bunch of other Rugby matches, which are all pay per view by individual matches, and/or Tournaments, or package deals for a low price.  Another live streaming site is MyP2P, http://myp2p.eu/index.php?part=home (only live, no archives).  Sport Stream Live, http://www.sportstreamlive.tv/, has live and archived matches . . . sign-up for free and enjoy.  It is a joy to see more Rugby on TV, and through streaming sites than ever before . . . hope you can use some of the links and enjoy watching our great game at home or at a site near you if you enjoy having a bunch of friends watching with you.

On to Midwest Rugby . . . I've posted Winter Venues, http://www.midwestrugby.org/wintervenues.htm, with two of those Venues already done, and one to go, the South Side Irish Whiskey 10s Tournament, http://www.midwestrugby.org/11ssiwhiskey10s.htm, on the 12th of March . . . that's all I know about this year as of today.  Remember that many of the Venues listed have 'Early Bird' Tournament Entry Fees . . . check out each Venue to see the final date of each Venue's Early Bird Entry Fee.

I've posted Spring Venues, http://www.midwestrugby.org/springvenues.htm, with only four Tournaments listed so far.  Early Bird Entry Fees apply to many of the Spring Venues also . . .
        Listed so far:
The 21st Annual All Fools Classic, http://www.midwestrugby.org/11siuallfoolsclassic.htm, on the 9th of April
The 1st Annual North Coast U19 Tournament, http://www.midwestrugby.org/11northcoastu19tournament.htm, also on the 9th of April
The 8th Annual Tournament of Champions, http://www.midwestrugby.org/11niutournamentofchampions.htm, on the 30th of April
The 5th Annual Benny Kenyon's 15s Tournament, http://www.midwestrugby.org/11foxvalleybennykenyons15s.htm, on the 21st of May.

Under this year's Summer Venues, http://www.midwestrugby.org/11summervenues.htm, I have a bunch of Venues listed, but most are not confirmed . . . yet . . . if your Venue is on the date I have listed please send me your Flyer, or information so that I can complete your link for this coming summer.

I've got the Sevens Series page done, http://www.midwestrugby.org/11sevensseriesvenues.htm, but I only have three Venues completed, and I'm not even sure of the other Venues I have listed due to the fact that I've never received a complete list of MW Sevens Qualifiers (Sevens Series) from anyone that is an Official of the MW Administration . . . if your Club has been approved as a MW Sevens Qualifier, with a certain date, please let me know as soon as possible, and especially if the date I have listed your Venue under isn't correct.  For all of you, if you didn't know already, Nash Bash isn't happening this year, and will resume again next year according to the Tournament Director.  I'll be updating all the pages as I get information on Venues I haven't been able to confirm . . . yet!
        Listed so far:
The Minnesota 7s, http://www.midwestrugby.org/11minnesotayoungbloodz7s.htm, on the 11th of June
The Firehouse Sevens, http://www.midwestrugby.org/11blazefirehousesevens.htm, on the 25th of June
The 29th Annual Lakefront 7s, http://www.lakefront7s.com/, on the 9th of July.

I don't have it completed, but the Collegiate LAU All Star Tournament is going to be on the 16th and 17th of April at Northern Illinois University . . . that will be done in the next day or so.

The Midwest AGM went off without a hitch, and all the incumbent Officers were re-elected without any opposition . . . I know the Minutes haven't been posted yet, and when they are ready to post they will be on the official Midwest site, www.midwestrugbyunion.org . . . I don't think I'll be posting those anymore due to the work involved with formatting MW Minutes of the AGMs and Summer Meetings, but who knows, I may find the time to do that once I get a copy of each meeting.

Cheers,
Shawn
