To One and All:

Getting this out very late today, Monday, to prevent me from getting e-mails from Sports Editors about how late my newsletter has been . . . at least I'm getting messages from Sports Editors, which I never use to get when I started doing this about 8 years ago . . . maybe Rugby is making headway in the states . . . yeah!

If you're not aware of it USA Rugby has been accepted by the USA Olympic Committee as an Olympic Sport member. USA Rugby has said, "This remarkable step forward wouldn't have been possible without the support of all of USA Rugby's members and supporters. So for that, we are extremely appreciative of the extraordinary effort our members have put forth to get the sport to this point." Congratulations to all of us!

I know that several of you have already responded to Liz Entwhistle in her time of need, and hopefully she has made a huge step toward getting back on her feet. Got some more bad news about another young Rugby player that has moved on . . . Sarah 'Schmitty' Schmitt was a player on the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire Women's Rugby Club, and she passed away on the 12th of September, 2010, in an automobile accident. Haven't had time to update the Standings of any Division, and will get to that later tonight or tomorrow and so, keep checking the home page for updates, www.midwestrugby.org. Won't be able to do the Standings in some Divisions until I get all the scores in, and I'm still missing some . . . check out your Division and see if you can help me get 'er done.
