To One and All:

Excuse me for gettin' this out a little late, but I like to have all the Midwest results put to bed on my website, which they are now. Hopefully our Midwest Women's Clubs will send me their results sooner than Wednesday . . . to all our Clubs in the Midwest . . . promote your own game, get me your result as early as possible, because this newsletter goes out to many Newspaper Sports Editors across the Midwest, and a number of them love getting the news, but not past Monday . . . to all of them anything past Monday is old news, and they have already moved on to other sporting news. All the current scores I have are below . . . I think most of you will agree with me that there were a few upsets this past weekend, like the Griffins and Lions losing, and Chicago North being upset by the Chicago Women just to name a few . . . take a look and enjoy . . .

Don't forget to send me a Club contact or two for pages on Club lists through LAUs and Youth Organizations, http://www.midwestrugby.org/midwestclubs.htm. Already have several contacts and haven't posted those because I want more first.

Are many of you using Rugby Scorer, http://www.rugbyscorer.com? If you are and I haven't heard from you please let me know if you like it as a great connection tool for your Club members, and all your fans that aren't able to attend a match.

The Illinois Youth Rugby Association (iYRA) will be presenting Rugby at World Sport Chicago's Family Sports Festival this coming Saturday the 18th of September, 2010. World Sport Chicago expects 4,000 children to attend this event and this is a prime opportunity for the iYRA to introduce the game of Rugby to these children. We need a number of Rugby players or former Rugby players to help organize Rugby games for the children. I realize that many of you are playing or supporting your Club Saturday, and so, if you know of anyone who would be interested in earning some extra money then the iYRA is willing to compensate them for their time and effort. A huge THANKS goes out to all of you that sent me your results, and especially all of the Referees that got me all the correct scores . . . it's been a bit of a rough start this fall, and I hope most of the bugs have been worked out . . . keeping my fingers crossed.
