To One and All:

Yeah another Rugby day, and I'm STILL gettin' scores sent to me, and it's very early Saturday, like right around 2:30 AM . . . wow, not much of a sense of urgency with some of our mates in our little Rugby community . . . please keep texting your scores to me at 618-780-0589, or call me on that number, or e-mail me, MTR...@gmail.com . . . promote the game, your game!

If you're Hosting a Rugby Tournament in the near or distant future I hope you've had time to read the 'new' USA Rugby Event Sanction Agreement, http://www.midwestrugby.org/usarugbyeventsanctionagreement12.htm, which is also in a PDF. Then there's sort of an explanation on some of the points made in the Sanction Agreement here, http://www.midwestrugbyunion.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=72:usa-rugby-tournament-sactioning-process&catid=9:general&Itemid=18 . . . pretty ambiguous if you ask me, and it leaves a ton of room for USA Rugby to declare your Tournament didn't meet the Sanction Agreement and your Tournament will be declared null and void under the USA Rugby Event Sanction Agreement, which, in my opinion, means you need to have everyone involved sign a Waiver Release Form from the get go just in case USA Rugby turns down any claims coming out of your Tournament.

Playoffs start for some this coming weekend, like the Big 10 Men's and Women's Conferences, and the Senior Women's Division I, http://www.midwestrugby.org/12usarugbywd1championship.htm, and with the Final 4 in Division II, http://www.midwestrugby.org/12womensd2championship.htm. There are a bunch of other Collegiate Conference playoffs too, but I don't have all of that information, because I haven't got the time to find and go to all of those websites, i.e., I need people to send me that information, which is what has happened with the Big 10 Men and Women . . . guess where I got the information . . . from a few Referees . . . yeah!

Good luck to all the Clubs involved in a local or national playoff!

I'm still missing several Collegiate Conference website links, which may be a Facebook page . . . if you know of one that I don't have listed below send it to me asap. I think it's a year of huge changes in the Collegiate game, and a lot of the 'kinks' are still being worked out, like with the Big 10 NOT allowing the Rugby Clubs in the Big 10 to use the same title and logo for the Big 10 Rugby Conference, and should the Ladies and Gents for one Conference under the same umbrella, or should it be separate like it is right now . . . yep, lots to work out before next fall, or even as we go into this coming spring.
