Weds PM Ride

Looking for a regular Weds PM (start 7:00 pm or so), intermed/advanced
ride. Would love some mid-week fun rides!

Sounds like a few riders might be doing a Road Ride on Sunday so will be
foregoing any Saturday Mountain Bike Ride. Talk was it was Kaho's last ride
in San Diego and he has never had the privilege of doing Cowles
Mountain......soooooo......

Let's do it Saturday morning at 10:00am

This is a shorter ride than our normal Saturday rides but is plenty
grueling...

This ride is not for the faint at heart. It is short but very demanding up
and back ride to the top of Cowles Mountain. Lots of twists, turns and
railroad ties.

Directions

Take 52 East and exit at Mission George. Turn right on Mission George and
left on Mesa. Drive to the end of the sidewalk and park.

I got my Rear Hub fixed and ready to blow my lungs out again!!!

Does anybody know what the conditions are like at Soapstone right now? Looking to ride there on Sunday but I don't want to take a mud bath. Does the place retain water a lot? Is there a ranger station that would know?

Don't let the mud keep you away.  The path is so steep the water just rolls off the trail.  And thus, no mud and no excuse!

LOL....rode Sycamore last Sunday and there was plenty of mud at the beginning of the trail....I won't make that mistake again after a hard rain.  Go roadies!

That's not a typo, we are going to ride Cowles again tomorrow.  Jeff/Davis/Scott were not available last week, and we would not want to deprive them of the pleasure.  See you tomorrow.
