quicktime download help

HI, I've got a copy of final cut pro bu it won't install on my compute
because it is not compatible with thej Quicktime 6.0.2 version I ahve
on my emac. So , please can anyone tell me where I can find at least
version 6.1 (which is what the final cp installation disc keeps
requesting. I am not connected ot the internet at home so ahve been
copyuign various versions that I can find on the net onto a disc. the
mac webstie keeps takig me to quicktime 7.0 and I ahhve tried
insatlling this but without any jopy whatsoever. Also I ahve tried I
think version 6.2.5 but this is not compatible with my operating system
10.0.1 i think of mac.

Please can someone help since quicktime is driving me mad. Surely I
should be able to download a version of 6.1 but I can't find it
anywhere on the net. Also, perhaps I am having difficulties because of
standalone downlaads and also ones that depend on being hooked into the
net to compleete installation? WOuld really appreciate your help.
