Dear Investor,

The Sensex advanced by 307 points ( 2.6%) to close at all time high at 12360. It has gained by 1113 points in just three weeks. Banking stocks also some aggressive buying this week as there was a clear disconnect between perception and reality that NII and NIMs for majority of the banks would remain subdued for this quarter. SBI, ICICI Bank and BOI were the major gainers. Oil marketing companies also saw some gains as government indicated of an imminent price hike

Results for the March quarter are very much in line with our estimates with companies under our coverage showing a 25% growth in revenues and ~20% growth in PAT. However caution should be exercised at these levels as the markets are at an alltime high and some big IPOs are slated to hit the markets soon.
