Dear friends,
It's that time again. Those of you who have known me for a while know what I'm talking about, but for those of you who don't, let me introduce you to a tradition of mine.
Warrington is a small town between Houston and Austin. It's pretty small but twice a year people gather there to buy and sell antiques. Yes, the Warrington Antique Show is Texas's largest antique show and one of the largest in the country. (there is at least one bigger one in TN). My mother is an antique dealer, which means I was taken to many of these antique shows growing up. As I get older, I realized how much the culture helped shape parts of my personality.
Going to Warrington is an experience that I think everyone should experience at least once. It is a cultural experience. Ok, so maybe I hold it up to a pretty high standard. But hey, It is also fun. :-) Anywho, I like to go at least once a year and invite my friends to join me. We make it a day trip so that it doesn't require too much effort. So far, I've gotten good feedback from the people who made the couple other trips I've made in college.
So Warrington is coming up again and I would like to invite you to join me. I will be going on Oct 4th, leaving around 10 in the morning and coming back in the evening in time for Demi. (And for the few of you who don't go to Demi, you should come. It's fun. ;-) But that means back before 8:30.)
Even if you don't like antiques, think about coming. You don't even have to buy anything. And trust me... the people watching and food makes it worth it. :-)
If you would like to join me, email me back. I'd like to get a rough number fairly soon. I really hope you join me.
Cheers,
