I really like dragging and dropping tasks in the outline, but sometimes it is impossible to grab the handle of the task and the list scrolls instead, try as I might. Usually I can make it work by changing to a different view and back again to outline. Sometimes that doesn't work though and I have to do cut and paste. I am on a Galaxy Note 3 phone. I am sure I read about this issue somewhere else in the group but can't find it now.

I have the same issue with the Nexus 5. It also scrolls when trying to star an item. I end up having to use the arrows to move things (which sucks) and open an item to star it.

Yeah, I am the one that has that issue also, on a couple of phones. It's quite annoying but apparently only effects a few of us for some reason.

I've also been seeing that if I move around tasks in Active Starred and then complete some and they recur, the next day they AND other tasks are in a different order. I might just start only moving on the desktop but that's a pain.

Hi, Laurence. I have also seen this problem. When you go into Move mode, a handle appears at the right hand end of each task. At the same time, a scroll bar appears at the right-hand edge of the screen. The scroll bar is a super-thin black line, with a slightly thicker black handle. The thin black line crosses in front of the move handles, making it impossible to actually touch the move handles. When you try to touch the move handle you are actually selecting the scroll bar. The scroll bar is only displayed for a short time. On my Samsung Galaxy Note II it shows for maybe three to four seconds. On some models of phone it displays longer or shorter times, depending on the phone's processor speed and maybe other factors. So, when you go into Move mode, look for and find the thin scroll bar. Wait until it goes away. Now try moving tasks, it should work.

Another sharing the issue on Nexus 5.  Scroll bar overlays where the Star is so can't star/unstar anything.  Just scrolls my screen around.
Hopefully the UI in v2 has some big improvements.

Much as I like MLO A, on the UI side there is a lot of room for improvement in a lot of places.   This is where I wish I had input to the dev process  :(

Thanks Dwight and all. I have tried waiting but it doesn't help on my device. I will be doing cut and paste, or arrow buttons for the time being. I expect it will be sorted in a future version.

FWIW I submitted a bug report, which points back at this discussion. The MLO website has a mailto link for just such a purpose.

It's strange, I could swear I've had that same issue on multiple occasions, but when I tested it the other day, waiting worked. I'll watch for times when it doesn't and see if I can isolate any differences.
