Dear all,

We are recruiting annotators (academic context: MSc, PhD candidates or Postdocs) with a background in Materials Science or Chemistry (surface chemistry welcome; ALD/ALE familiarity a plus) for a 1.5-month image-annotation study on scientific figures from materials and surface chemistry.

What you’ll do. Review and refine AI-generated annotations for a curated set of figures (e.g., verify figure-type labels, improve short summaries, and correct minimal numeric details) to improve data quality and interpretability.

Terms.

Compensation: €2,300 (fixed), paid upon full completion within 1.5 months
Start: Immediate; rolling selection
Positions: ~10 (subject to adjustment)
Selection step: Short, unpaid trial on one paper after brief guidelines

Eligibility (strict): Candidates with demonstrable background in Materials Science/Chemistry.
